Are You Living Your Life Standing Still?

Do you ever find yourself wondering ‘how did I get here’ when you take stock of your life and realize you have not lived your life the way you planned?

Do any of these resonate for you?

  • I’m struggling financially
  • My family doesn’t communicate
  • My spouse / partner and I don’t want the same things anymore
  • My business isn’t growing the way I thought it would
  • I’m so bored with my life
  • I just don’t seem to get anywhere, no matter how much I try
  • I could have done so much more with my life
  • It's too late for me

If this sounds like you, you have fallen into the vortex of ‘living your life standing still’.

When we were children, most of us, lived in a world of play and make-believe.  We didn’t worry about how we would play hopscotch when we didn’t have chalk to make the outline.  We used whatever we could to create it ourselves. We used skipping ropes, and rulers...

An Easter Message From My Dreams

faith life Apr 02, 2021

In the past, I would send out my Easter message on Easter itself - celebrating Christ’s resurrection. This year it felt right to do it on Good Friday - the day Christ died.

I've spent a lot of time this week thinking and praying about what message I wanted to share this Easter, and although a lot of different ideas came up, nothing felt ‘quite right’ until 3:33 am this morning (which in itself, has significant spiritual meaning).

Let me first offer a little background and context on how this message revealed itself:

During the past few months, in my business life, my colleagues and I have been discussing a new community launch on a new platform, planning out ideas, training and opportunities to help others grow their online businesses.

I’ve also been procrastinating about starting my podcast ‘Faith Talk’ because I wasn’t sure how to define my message, which is about a faith-walk, a love-walk, being supportive, encouraging and aligning my...

Has The #13 Finally Evolved From Bad Luck to BIG DREAMS?

I think most of us can agree that the number 13 has often been associated with superstitious beliefs and bad luck. The illogical fear around the number 13 has been connected to historical events such as “The Last Supper” where Judas, the betrayer of Christ, the 13th apostle to sit at the table, has invoked a superstition that having 13 guests at a dinner party is unlucky. This ominous number has become synonymous with other superstitions as well - a black cat crossing your path, walking under ladders, Friday the 13th, believing bad things come in threes, a broken mirror brings you 7 years of back luck and the list goes on and on.

There is actually a phobia called triskaidekaphobia in which people suffer from having an extreme fear of the number 13.

This phobic phenomenon is so significant the business world has adopted its trepidation into their business planning and marketing strategies. Numerous...

Pay Attention To What 'Floats' Into Your Thoughts

Two days ago on social media, someone had posted a word puzzle asking you to note the first 3 words you saw. I thought it was kind of fun and noted the first words for me were: wellness, beginning, massive success. “I LIKE THIS,” I thought, and then went on with my day.

Yesterday was New Year’s Eve and it was a typical end of the year for me; enjoy some food and cocktails with family, watch the ball drop and then off to bed. Unfortunately, sleep is rarely restful for me. I am a “lucid” dreamer. I am fully aware of what I am dreaming and can control and manipulate the outcome. It’s like being up all night watching movies, so I typically wake up “tired”.

Have you ever experienced those moments before you are fully awake from sleep when images or thoughts start to emerge? Well, I have and in fact, often do. There is a name for this transitional state from sleep to wakefulness;
Hypnopompia is a mental phenomenon that occurs during...

When The Last Thing You Want To Do Is Celebrate The Holidays

faith grief life loss Dec 25, 2019

Loss. It’s a word we all know in one form or another. Loss of a loved one, loss of income, loss of stability, loss of relationships, loss of connection with self, loss of control… It’s a small word, just 4 letters, yet its impact is disorienting. And with loss comes grief.

During the holidays, loss and grief can be overwhelming. Whether you are or are not spiritual, holidays are the times we celebrate the joys of our family and friends.

When the rest of the world is in the throws of holiday bliss, for those dealing with loss and grief, all the “shoulds” are at the forefront everywhere you look.

You “should be happy”, after all, it’s the holidays.
You “should be grateful” for all you “do” have.
You “should be preparing” for the festivities with food and gifts for those in your life. You “should, should, should.”

Everywhere are reminders -  the lights,...

Embracing Change

As I woke this morning three words came to my mind. Rebirth,  Renew and Hope were playing like a mantra over and over. At first, I thought this was very strange, but then I realized what day it was and the message became very clear.  Today is Easter Sunday and Easter is a celebration of renewal, rebirth and new hope.

“ Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy, he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”  ~ 1 Peter 1:3

To renew means making change. Making changes in any area of your life, whether it is personal or in business, the struggle and the wonder of “if” this new direction is the “right” decision will come up time and again. Where, when and how is the right way to make this transition? Our need for proof and guarantees of a positive outcome become the very downfall that compromises our success.

Are You Bringing Your Faith Into Your Daily Life?

faith life Nov 13, 2017

Sometimes it feels like each day runs into the other. We wake up and get ready, feed the kids, do the household chores, go to work, ride the crazy train, get home, make dinner, take the kids to hockey - dancing - skating - basketball - etc., make lunches for the next day, get the kids ready for bed, watch a little TV, read or even continue working into the wee hours of the night and then off to dreamland for a few short hours before beginning the entire cycle again. Every day - 7 days a week!

It’s no wonder we are stressed, overwhelmed and often too exhausted to even think about anything other than “what’s next on the calendar.”

Most of us, if not all of us, live such busy lives that it is not hard to forget about keeping the one thing that keeps us steady in our daily life - our Faith!

I bring my own Faith-Walk into my daily routine. When I wake up in the morning I start with gratitude for “actually waking...

A Faith Walk to Remember

faith life Nov 03, 2017

During a conversation with a friend, I was reminded just how strong my faith is. This conversation really got me thinking about what my “FaithWalk” means to me.

My faith is a personal relationship with my higher power - and that higher power for me is Jesus. He is whom I call upon when things are good, when things are tough, when I am having difficulty in knowing how to handle difficult conversations, and when I am just happy being in the moment. I invite Him into all areas of my daily life. He is also whom I call upon to keep me in integrity. My FaithWalk is striving to live a life that keeps me in kindness, compassion, understanding, and love.

Being a person of Faith didn’t always come easily to me. In fact, I would venture to say it doesn’t come easy for many. I still see so much behavior where judgment is passed. I, myself have been guilty of judgment in the past and I realized that isn’t who I am - and definitely not whom I want to be if...
